Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds
The Alameda County Community Development Agency Healthy Homes Department will submit a request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the release of the Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program with Healthy Homes Supplemental Modification, which is authorized under Section 1011 of the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992 (Title X of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1992) (42 U.S.C. 4852), and funding is provided by the Consolidated Appropriations Act , 2023 (Public Law 117-328, enacted December 29, 2022), and prior years as specified in the Notice of Funding Opportunity instrument for the following multi-year program/project: Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program including Healthy Homes Supplemental grant, for the purpose of identifying and addressing lead hazards and healthy housing repairs and improvements in Alameda County. The Alameda County Community Development Agency Healthy Homes Department is requesting the release of $5,000,000 Lead Based Paint Hazard Reduction Grant funds and $700,000 Healthy Homes Supplemental Funds and will provide $848,219 of matching funds.
Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the Environmental Review Record to the Alameda County Community Development Agency Healthy Homes Department. All comments received by comment period date in the notice will be considered by the Alameda County Community Development Agency Healthy Homes Department prior to authorizing submission of a Request for Release of Funds and Environmental Certification to HUD.
